Louise Oligny
THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :
Inventing to reinvent oneself. For several years, photographer Louise Oligny and illustrator Clémentine du Pontavice have been running workshops at the Maison des Femmes de Saint-Denis with women who have been victims of violence. Through the practice of drawing and photography, these women move from the intimate to what Lacan called the extimate (the public unveiling of the intimate) and thus work to rebuild their self-esteem. The drawings presented reflect this sensitive expression, while the photographs are the work of Louise Oligny, taken at the end of these meetings.
