THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :
Born in Iran, then a refugee in France after fleeing Afghanistan, the young photographer Fatimah Hossaini is active on all fronts: creations of course, but also educational workshops, conferences, photography courses... Her objective? To reveal the power and courage of these free women, despite the deprivations and abuses imposed on them since the Taliban came to power. Thanks to powerful stagings in which the burqa is removed in favour of a newfound right, the artist reveals the cultural diversity of the women of her country and gives us a glimpse of the incredible challenge they face in their daily lives : to oppose, to emancipate themselves, to exist.
