Get your dose of daring and freedom by flying over the rooftops of Paris alongside the young freerunners immortalised by Zenzel! I promise, you won't be seen from below...
The film Yamakasi introduced Parkour to the general public. In 2011, photographer Zenzel met a group of young freerunners roaming the rooftops of Paris and decided to photograph them. For nine years, he will be immortalising their flying bodies as modern-day acrobats.
ZENZEL is a French artist and film-maker who has photographed bodies in motion all over Europe, working with artists from a wide range of backgrounds: dancers, circus artists and freerunners. With his audio-visual production company Noesys, he is also active in the fields of music and advertising, directing music videos for Aloïse Sauvage, Yaël Naim and Barbara Pravi, as well as artistic communication campaigns for the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Aigle and La Samaritaine.
With Zenzel, The Caring Gallery has created an exhibition that speaks to each and every one of us: what is our relationship to freedom? to identity? what are our limits?
