"Collection of 65 days placed under the sign of the Pleasure following the performance "la journée du plaisir". As many ways to take, to say and to write pleasures as of individuals thus met." Camille Bondon
THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :
Smile, Consider, Share
Born in 1987, the Franco-Swiss artist Camille Bondon sets up collective experiences that give pride of place to joys and desires, as suggested by her Department of Pleasure plaque. In the same way, the days of pleasure (of which the work 65 jours de plaisirs is an account) are invitations to share with the artist, and by text message, three pleasures encountered each hour, during one day. The Sweet Words are the result of another protocol, proposing to spread 10,000 sweet words in a given area. The reams on sale allow the visitor to become, in turn, an actor of the work.
There is a touching dimension in this tiny, conscientious and collective search to collect these little things that give a pleasant taste to our present. Exchanged and shared, pleasure moves away from its individual dimension to take on its function as a social link: it then fulfills the essential role of driving force for all our future commitments.
The Caring Gallery is committed to donating 10% of the sale of this work to the partner association of the exhibition.
