THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :
BEING ATTENTIVE TO THE LANGUAGE OF THE WORLD
In the Anthropocene era in which we currently find ourselves, it has been proven that climate disruption is clearly linked to human activity, overexploitation of resources and global overproduction. The attitude to adopt therefore consists, above all, in decentring, so that human beings can regain their rightful place among other living beings.
A poetic invitation to pay more attention to the one who warms us up all day long, the artists give the word - or more precisely the pencil - to the sun. Thanks to the implementation of a precise device, each day the sun's rays pass through the magnifying glass, leaving its trace on a heat-sensitive paper. The movement of the sun thus forms a line making its trajectory visible, and referring to a planetary cycle that goes far beyond us.
