Duaa Qishta, Palestinian from Gaza Strip, was born in 1991 in Saudi Arabia. A visual artist, her artworks have a human dimension, highlights on conflits, wars and sieges and the different crises they produce. Also it's carrying a satirical message about the political and social reality. She is reveal the memory of violence, such as the violence produced by war, the siege, customs and traditions. Her subjects are also related to the Palestinian identity.
In her expression and representation, she uses different materials and techniques, such as paintings, drawings, sculptures, installation, photography and video.
Qishta has learned the art self-taught since 2015, She has participated in many group exhibitions.
In 2019, She produced her first personal exhibition "Al-Awda Ice Cream" with the support of the A.M. Qattan Foundation in Palestine.
In 2019-2020, she obtained an art residency at the “Cité Internationale des arts” in Paris.
Since 2020, She is a refugee who lives and works in France, recently awarded a year art residency from the "Collège de France" in Cherbourg, Grenoble and Valence in France.
