Louise Oligny is originally from Canada. She has been living in France since 1989 where she works as a photographer. Her photos have been published in numerous magazines: Médiapart, Le Monde 2, Elle, Libération, Géo, etc. Louise creates artistic projects involving photography and video in collaboration with residents of working-class neighbourhoods. For the past five years, she has been running a workshop (photography, drawing, music) with women victims of violence, at the Maison des Femmes de St-Denis in collaboration with Clémentine du Pontavice and Banlieues Bleues. They have also published a book based on this work : Réparer l'intime.
