THE WORDS FROM ANNESOPHIE BÉRARD, OUR CURATOR :
In her book Femmes invisibles (Invisible Women) published in 2020, journalist and feminist activist Caroline Criado-Perez conducts a fascinating investigation into the way in which statistical studies make women invisible. Safety tests, medical dosages or the size of objects... nothing escapes it! The standards of our society are constructed by men, for men. With an unstoppable visual efficiency, photographer Eléa Jeanne Schmitter puts into images the important consequences of this data gap.
The Caring Gallery is committed to donating 10% of the sale of this work to the partner association of the exhibition.
